The legal drinking age in all 50 states is 21 years of age. However, this is not a federal law. Rather, it is a state law that all states created under pressure of the federal government. The federal government was going to withhold highway funding from any state that refused to raise the drinking age. This was done to for traffic safety reasons. However, the reasons for this has not been backed by statistics. There is no good, proven reason to keep the drinking age where it is at. If a child can go off to battle, they should be able to drink a beer. Please consider it.
