Several states are making progress towards requiring the labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Connecticut and Vermont among several others have made tremendous progress that would require labeling GMOs in their states. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders tried taking that progress a step further by proposing an amendment to the farm bill that would allow states to require such labeling. The amendment was overwhelming voted down in the Senate by a margin of 71-27. This is clearly not a partisan issue. Both sides of the aisle voted against this amendment. Please sign this petition and share it with friends and family. We need to make the White House hear us loud and clear!! We need to make them see that we value consumer rights over corporate greed.
