Allow the States to set their own drinking age by repealing the National Minimum Drinking Age Act

Created by D.K. on August 09, 2014

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act, unfairly keeps US adults from legally buying and drinking alcohol until they're 21. The NMDAA does this by blackmailing the States into raising the drinking age. If the States do not comply to the law, the federal government will decrease or completely cut state highway funding. This is unfair to the people of the United States and denies States the freedom to set their own guidelines on drinking. If an 18 year old can vote, serve in the military, and be persecuted as an adult, then they should be treated like one. Allow the states to decide their own drinking laws without federal blackmail.
