Allow "Steamboat Willie" to fall into the public domain

Created by B.S. on June 09, 2014

No one NEEDS a copyright term of 150-200 years, but that is the direction we're heading as long as Disney continues to get its way.

There is a certain point where a creative work has done enough for its creator to satisfy the spirit of copyright laws, and it becomes more of a hindrance than a help to innovation and creativity for it to be restricted beyond that point. The current copyright term in the US is pushing that envelope, if it hasn't already punched a hole in it. If we're not going to fix things by reducing it, then at least let's not increase it further.

DRM is another issue, but more and more publishers in certain industries are already going DRM-free.
