Allow student loans and grants to older students in default, who had lack of understanding of the program.

Created by R.C. on January 10, 2012

When I went to college in 1999 I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I didn't have the luxury of family help or councelors that were truly helpful. I had 100 dollars; and finantial aide, that I did not understand from the beginning. I was not ready for college. Now that I've settled down and am no loger nieve about the situation I need help to go back to college. I am signed up for all my classes but have been turned down for grants or loans by my government because I am in default. I am more responsible and am really ready to earn my degree, but now I cannot go to class because I cannot pay my fees. We need a program to help people in my situation without giving up on them. I did the best I could living and putting myself through high school while on own since the age of 13.
