The rising cost of secondary education and high-interest student loans are crippling to the majority of graduates who either cannot find work in their field, or are grossly underpaid.
Loan interest rates soar at as high as 8.5%, with the only relief being to defer the loans while continuing to accrue interest at the same rate. Student loans are the only unsecured debt that cannot be discharged through bankruptcy, which is for some young adults in today's economy the only option that will realistically make a difference in a struggling financial situation.
Help struggling students who do not come from a background of wealth, and are trying to do the right thing by attending school, rather than oppress them with increasing debt through compounding interest!
