Allow students to apply for financial aid without providing parent information.

Created by A.H. on November 16, 2012

Too many times, students are turned down for financial aid because they cannot provide parental information. Current policies state that unless you are an emancipated minor or younger than 24, that you are dependent to your parents. However, many people move out and pay for school, and everything for that matter, completely on their own. It is time the federal government recognizes people that are 18 years and older, and living on their own as independent from their parents.
