It is ridiculous that the new policy does not allow math honors students to move up to double honors. My own testing scores are higher than most of the double honors, and yet I cannot move up. New Jersey is putting a roof to my progress, and is not allowing me to reach my maximum potential. I will now be wasting a full semester in a class I already have the knowledge for instead of taking an AP course or other classes of my interest. The district board has created this new policy because 'too many students that moved up are failing', but that does not mean that I should be shut out of my possibilities because of former students' faults.
