Allow students with mental illnesses (depression, anxiety, etc.) to be excused from class as needed (Mental Health Days)

Created by N.D. on April 30, 2013

Many kids and teens suffer from some sort of mental illness, such as depression or anxiety, but are not able to be excused from class when their illness is being particularly problematic, while students who do not feel well physically are able to be excused. Every school should allow students diagnosed with mental illnesses to be excused just as physically ill students can.
