You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. Just like you cannot remove students choices on the items they consume at school.
I understand that limitations must be put on certain dishes that are served but when it comes to "extras" limitations should not be set.
Students are bringing in their money and the money their parents give them and should have a choice as to what they wish to purchase.
Removing items such as cookies, flavored milk, pudding, healthier chips, and other items considered as "extra" will severely damage the amount of revenue brought in by the cafeteria. Taking these snacks away will not teach kids to eat healthy it will increase the likely-hood of them bringing in unhealthier options i.e. fast food.
