In years past, interest on credit cards was an allowable deduction. The Tax Reform Act of 1986 eliminated this deduction. We the people are in dire need of credit card interest relief. Reinstating this deduction would greatly help those who are living off of credit cards due to low wages, unemployment, and unlivable Social Security payments. Wall Street criminals were not prosecuted, but we the people are being prosecuted by high interest credit cards. This is just one way financial relief would be given to the poor and the ever decreasing middle class. Bring back the credit card tax deduction.
