Abortion has been, and always will be, a hot-bed of contention, heated arguments on morality, and quasi-scientific reasoning (questions on fetal pain, emotional damage, etc.).
This petition is to ask that the government, and individuals who identify as "pro-choice," allow all taxpayers to decide for themselves if they are willing to have their tax dollars support abortion procedures.
All parties should recognize the gift and right each person has in making decisions that impact themselves based on their own set of values and morals. WE THE PEOPLE ask that all taxpayers be given the opportunity of opting out of having their tax dollars fund abortion procedures if they are morally opposed to it.
This petition is not for the justification or condemnation of abortion, but for choice.
