Allow taxpayers to withhold payment of federal taxes that fund combat operations based on moral or religious objections.

There is a well established precedent preventing use of federal funds for abortion, (The Hyde Amendment) recognizing the moral objections of those taxpayers who claim a Conscientious Objection. We the People therefore petition to have a legal pathway instituted that would allow taxpayers to withhold that portion of Federal taxes that correspond to the portion of the defense budget related to combat operations. A simple checkmark will be introduced to the tax forms to claim this right of Conscientious Objection.
