allow Texas to secede and form its own government.

I would like to petition to peacefully allow the State of Texas to secede from the Untied States of America and form its own new government. The Electoral College is antiquated and should be reformed to meet the needs of an everchanging world. If their are no laws put in place to insure that the electorate will vote the popular vote of their state, what is the point of American Citizens casting their vote. I am a lower to middle class family and I have yet to see how any of the healthcare laws put into place benefit my family. Working in the insurance world, I only see the devastation left behind. Now, I will be fined for my husband not having insurance as it will be cheaper then buying insurance for him. The economy is suffering and there does not seem to be an end in sight.
