Since seceding from Mexico to join the United States in 1836, several popular groups in Texas have created movements to secede from the United States to make Texas it's own nation. I believe that we need to remove any legal barriers to this goal be removed, including overturning the 1869 Supreme court case Texas v. White.
Several organizations have been formed towards this goal, including the Republic of Texas Organization and the Texas Nationalist Movement. Even Governor of Texas Rick Perry has brought up the subject. I believe that this issue should be taken seriously and Texas be allowed to leave the union. The rest of the country is tired of dealing with their crap.
