At the age of 18, you can legally sign documents without the permission of a parent or guardian, purchase tobacco, view movies with adult content, got to trial as an adult and many other things people consider to be "for adults". Alcohol seems to be the only freedom 18 year olds do not have in this country. If they are considered to be responsible enough to do all those listed above, they should be legally allowed to purchase alcohol as well.
