The disabled and low income seniors on Medicare/Medicaid, and those whose employers don't provide dental coverage should be allowed to enroll and obtain this coverage through the Affordable Care Act. These populations should also be allowed to obtain subsidies.
I was denied application today, told I'm ineligible for a stand-alone dental policy and subsidies through the ACA because I'm on Social Security Disability and have Medicare & Medicaid (neither of which cover dental care).
Due to my extremely low income I have not been able to afford such care for 30 years! My son is also disabled and is in the same boat. The navigator shared with me that her own son, also disabled, was denied as well.
Please amend the ACA law ASAP so dental care is affordable and accessible to all.
