Currently the military has complete discretion in establishing whether an individual with Type 1 diabetes can enlist. This is not only discriminatory against people living normal lives with a diabetes diagnosis, but similarly unconditionally biased when determining which of those individuals argue their way in. End this practice and allow individuals living with diabetes decide if a career in the military is appropriate for them.
