There are countless choices of retirement programs out there but the one choice I do not have is the choice "opt-out" of social security and put the taxes towards another retirement program.
US persons should have the right to opt-out of social security.
As a penalty for opting out, any social security taxes collected will be kept and not returned.
Considerations can be made for persons who wish to join back into the system at a later date.
