More than 4.7 million americans have lost their health insurance due to the Affordable Care Act.
This is due to the provision that all new health insurance must cover 10 essential benefits. Any policies that do not cover these benefits have been terminated and the its policy holders have had their policies cancelled. This has forced us to enroll in new plans, which in some cases are over 2x the cost of our previous plans.
Moreover, many of these 10 benefits do not pertain to the individual policy holder's needs. One example is pediatric dental insurance that all policy holders, including those without children, must hold.
We petition the President and government to allow us to keep our previous policies which were indeed more affordable and sufficiently covered our healthcare needs.
