Electing a US President is mostly handled by party affiliates and not voters at large. Candidates, good or bad, are nominated based on the support they get from their parties. If two bad candidates are nominated, one will be selected as president. However, that candidate may simply be the "lesser evil" or "best of the worst" choice in the election, not an outstanding individual as we've come to expect and deserve in the position. This petition would allow for the recall of a US President, just as many other elected positions allow, including US Governors, the state version of a chief executive most comparable to the national role of the US President.
