Allow the U.S. public to import foreign cars, specifically the R34 Skyline models.

Created by S.L. on January 30, 2014

Currently the only models allowed for legal import and registration are the R32 and R33 skyline models. The R34 models do not meet EPA requirements and have not been tested here in the United States. This car is very popular among car enthusiasts and can't be much different from the already tested R33 model. We should be able to import whatever. Classic cars, cars over 25 years, do not need to meet any of these standards for "collection" purposes. I can drive a 67' Mustang with no A/C or airbags but can't drive an R34? A year 2000 model? Just because it possibly spits out more emissions although many classic cars do not meet the EPA requirements either. Though they are 25 years old so they are exempt. This makes little to no sense to me. The year is 15 rather than 25 for Canada.
