Allow USPS expand into telecommunications.

Created by S.T. on September 26, 2011

It is well known the United States Postal Service is in crisis and as each day passes, snail mail is becoming more and more obsolete. Before long, the agency as a whole could be come obsolete. It is also no secret that many are completely dissatisfied with the current state of the telecommunications industry. The U.S. is quickly falling behind in broadband development. Telecommunication companies are price gouging customers and operating seemingly like a cartel.

Let us keep not only the spirit of the Postal Service alive, which has provided long-distance communication for the U.S. for over two centuries, but also agency itself. Allow the Postal Service to slowly expand into telecommunications, offering real competition against the current slate of anti-competitive corporations.
