Allow vehicles with a Euro NCAP safety rating of 4 stars or higher to be imported and sold in the United States.

In the European auto market, vehicles are tested according to Euro NCAP safety standards. Although the Euro NCAP and NHTSA NCAP standards are similar in effectiveness (and in some cases, the Euro NCAP standards are more strict!), the trivial differences between the two force automotive manufacturers to take on costly redesign efforts in order to sell cars in the US.
If vehicles that have performed well in the Euro NCAP tests are allowed for US sale, then the American automotive market can expand. More competition brings more innovation, and market niches that were previously unfilled can be satisfied. Most importantly, US citizens gain additional freedom in buying the vehicle of their choice, without compromise. Limiting the imports to high-rating cars can protect the safety of our roads.
