Allow vehicles under 25 years old to be legally imported into the United States.

Created by M.W. on April 01, 2013

The Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration do not allow a large percentage of cars newer than 25 years old to be legally imported. The reasons stated are safety issues and emissions regulations. However, kit cars, classic American cars, etc are allowed to be freely driven on American roadways without any sort of restrictions. Why should a foreign vehicle be submitted to different scrutiny? Consider lowering the age requirement to at least 15 years.
