Currently service retired personnel who have service connected disabilities have to have over 50 percent to receive the payment concurrent with their retired pay, or have it related to combat service connected. I would want all service connected disabilities payments be given to the veterans without being taken from their retirement payment, only leaving that amount not taxable.
