End the ten (10) year limitation on U.S. Military Montgomery GI Bill Chapter 30 Education benefits and allow Veterans who received a General Under Honorable Discharge (GUH) full legal right to use their Montgomery GI Bill Chapter 30 benefits. This new legal and administrative change should be retroactive for ALL Veterans, regardless of the time they served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Currently: Veterans only have 10 years to use their educational benefits or lose them, and only under extreme circumstances can they even request an extension. This is unjust and immoral for a nation that has called upon its citizens to protect and defend it. It is immoral to hold a General Under Honorable discharge against a Veteran that served, and prevent them from using their Montgomery GI Bill Benefits.
