Off duty police/sheriff and the like are granted the ability to carry firearms concealed, with out a state issued permit. At any given time, there are more active duty, guard, and reservists out and about than there are uniformed and plain clothes officers. Tragedies such as the Aurora, Colorado could/would be stopped if it wasn't so difficult for military members/veterans to obtain state issued permits. (especially in California/New York). Most veterans are disabled, and can't fend off an attacker, with out the aid of an equalizer.Please allow us to protect our families, we protect yours.
