It's a shame that the White House tours have been cancelled until further notice. The claimed reason is that sequestration has limited the funding needed to provide these tours. It occurred to me that there must be hundreds of people willing to provide tours for free. There also has to be a few people already on staff that are unaffected by the sequester who could assume the collateral duty of giving tours. I'd also like to give a big 'shame on you' to the administration for resorting to such a petty message on the tour information phone number. It comes off as quite childish.
