Allow voters to decide if politcians will get a pay raise each year, then they'll be more likely to keep their promises.

Created by T.G. on December 12, 2012

I move for leiglation that allows voters to decide by vote whether politicians get a pay raise each year. Most people cannot just give themselves a pay raise the way politicians are allowed to do. Since "we the people" elected them, "we" are their bosses, so it makes sense that "we" vote on whether or not they have earned a raise. This will increase politicians' accountability to the people. It will also make them more likely to keep the promises they made to the voters in order to get elected.
