It is about time that Washington, D.C. should be allowed to become a state. This town should have full representation in Congress, be able to control its own budget, and allow its citizens full voting rights without having to require congressional approval in order to get bills and laws passed. It is about time that we recognize D.C. as a state. This situation should have been resolved long ago, otherwise I wouldn't have requested this petition in the first place.
