allow we, the Public School Educators and Federal Government and State workers, to arm ourselves in our workplaces.

We Teachers and State and Federal workers are currently deprived of our Second Amendment rights to protect ourselves. We are being discriminated against because we choose to serve our communities and the greater good of our nation. Trained and lawfully armed personnel strategically nestled in amongst our offices and classrooms should be able to have and maintain defensive weapons on-site in order to have the ability to defend against those that would do harm to our fellow workers and students. Just the knowledge that gun free zones are no longer a sure thing for mentally disturbed personnel to attack will serve as a deterrent against future acts. This should have happened after the forensic study of what happened at Virgina Tech and many advocated this action be taken back then, as well.
