In order to compromise with republicans in Congress in a way that is meaningful and intuitive to the populous, let's posit the following clear and comprehensible rebuttal to the argument that taxing the rich will discourage job creation: The wealthiest Americans, also known as "Job Creators", shall be exempt from any increases in capital gains, dividend, estate and any other relevant proposed expiration of Bush Era tax cuts so long as they create X number of jobs. My intuition suggests perhaps the top 5% income earners in the US shall be exempt if they create 50 new jobs within a 12 month period. Additional tax deductions and benefits could be adjusted on a scale commensurate with the number of jobs created.
