allow the Western portion of New York State to peacefully secede from New York State.

We, the People of the Western portion of New York State, in order to form a more perfect union, hereby respectfully petition for the right to peacefully secede from the entity known as New York State, thereby forming a new State of West New York. For too long, our rights as a free people have been trampled upon by a corrupt and inefficient government based in Albany, NY. We, the People of Western New York, are not properly represented by the government of New York State. We are tired of the "Three Men in a Room" form of government dictating State policy. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, Senate majority leader, Dean G. Skelos,and the Assembly speaker, Sheldon Silver do not properly represent the interests of much of the current State of New York, instead focusing on the Greater New York City area.
