Our country holds millions of inmates in privated (for profit) prisons. A vast majority of these inmates have children and families who live under the poverty line. With one or both parents incarcerated, obviously, raising a child becomes a difficult task to say the least. In many cases, the remaining provider seeks assistance from government programs or government agencies. My proposal allows for working jailed parents to be able to still provide for their children, thus lightening the need for some governmental assistance. Profit margins would still be favorable for the companies involved while simultaneously paying towards debts owned to the Attorney General by inmates. Not to mention how it helps the children and gives parents a source of pride and worth. Thanks for your consideration.
