Petition: create laws that would allow parents to take sufficient amount of leave from work for the well-being of a newborn. "Sufficient" should be based on opinions of expert psychologists world-wide.
We should not need extensive research to guess that the psychological effects of separating a child less than 1yr of age from its parent is bad. How "bad" is a big question that we are gambling the next generation with that question. Psychologists say that mental damaged endured during the first few years of life can *never* be fixed later. To be blunt, we should be ashamed of this society where separating young children from their parents has become the norm.
To damage the minds of young innocent children is a crime. Why do we not have laws preventing this crime?
