We ask the U.S. government to recognize the right of Texas to recognition as an independent and its right to withdraw from the USA. Our state, the only one which joined the United States, as a sovereign state. When we became a member of the United States in 1845, one of the conditions was its ability to leave the union. If Texas was a separate country, it would have had (as of 2012), the 14th largest economy in the world in terms of GDP, ahead of countries such as South Korea and the Netherlands.
