U.S.-sponsored strikes by drone missiles are unintentionally killing innocent civilians, including children, in Yemen, Pakistan and Afganistan. Shedding the blood of innocents is being used by Al-Qaeda as a recruiting tool and is turning citizens and some government leaders — who otherwise would be supporting U.S. anti-terrorism efforts — against us.
While targeted terrorists are being killed, this strategy ultimately will backfire and create more terrorism. Petitioners call on the Obama Administration to substantially curtail the use of drone missiles as an anti-terrorism tool, and use other methods to limit Al-Qaeda's influence in the Middle East and elsewhere.
