While recognizing the vast majority of people in police uniform do so out of love for our country, we must come to realize that there is a problem of racial injustice embedded into the criminal justice system.
We therefore ask for the following.
i. A recall and ban of any equipment not readily available in an open national commercial market already in the possession of local law enforcement
ii. Police Departments should be demographically representative of their communities.
iii. All deaths caused directly or indirectly by use of a firearm or firearms must be compiled into a federal database. States must also be mandated to report into the CDC’s National Violent Death Reporting System.
iv. A police grading metric visible to the public designed to disincentivize excessive force
