Because the USA is "one nation, indivisible", it is logical to do it according to math. So far we have 50 states plus DC, which makes the total number 51=3x17. If we make the total number a prime, e.g. a natural number greater than 1 that has no positive divisors other than 1 and itself, the USA will truly become "one nation, indivisible". The nearest prime number is 53, which means we need another 2 states.
