Allow Sixteen Year Olds to Run for President and Vote in 2016

We petition President Obama to encourage Congress to amend the US Constitution as follows:

Section 1: For the United States presidential election of 2016, no person shall be eligible to the office of President of the United States who shall not have attained the age of sixteen years.

Section 2: For the United States presidential election of 2016, the right of citizens of the United States, who are sixteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

Section 3: The incumbent President may run for reelection in the United States presidential election of 2020, regardless of his or her age.
