The 2nd amendment to the United States' Constitution was made to protect our right to bear arms. However, due to the words, "being necessary to the security of a free State," those rights may be unprotected by a loophole, to where the government, if they feel that national security is secure, may be able to take away our right to bear arms, completely. Eliminating the words, "being necessary to the security of a free State," will eliminate that threat.
