Amend the 2nd Amendment limiting ownership of firearms to those created on or before the passage of the 2nd Amendment

We have sensible limits to the right to free speech, and need sensible limits to the right to bear arms. The founders recognized that certain rights need to be protected, but could not have imagined the firepower available to individuals today. Currently, the rights to life, liberty, and happiness are being infringed upon by an exaggerated interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. If we are going to believe in 'original intent' of the founders, let the amendment apply it to the original firearms available when the amendment was created.
