Amend the Affordable Healthcare Act (aka Obamacare) to guarantee federally-funded mental healthcare/screening for ALL Americans and guarantee that no one seeking help for mental problems will be turned away from help, including, but not limited to, providing for the transport to the nearest appropriate mental health facility that has an available inpatient bed for such a person. Mental Illness is the primary cause of mass shootings and gun violence in the US, and we as a nation have failed miserably at treating those with mental illness, instead waiting until they commit a crime and then put them in prison, where their condition worsens and they do not get the proper care they need.
