Amend the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to to add the Natives that were left off the list.

Created by B.W. on September 06, 2014

Our land was illegally sold by the Russians. The Aleuts, became slaves to the U.S. government and paid for the Alaska Purchase, many times over, with their sweat and lives.

Aleuts of 1/8 or higher were forcibly interned during WWII and lots died, living in conditions like dogs. Many survivors lost their homes and were not allowed to return to their lands.

The ANCSA required Natives of 1/4 + blood quantum to enroll by a specific date. Many communities were missed. Adoptees didn't have papers to prove they were Native by the deadline. They all deserve shareholder status.

Aleuts purity was destroyed through forced occupation and slavery and we have been Creoles now for 250 years. 1/8 was enough to be called Aleut and sent to a camp, why no shareholder status for us too???
