Depending on an individuals income they can only claim a percentage of child care costs on the current child care credit. This makes a huge difference in the returns of middle class americans. We work very hard for our money and a quarter of our net pay goes to paying for child care, then at the end of the year we can only claim a quarter of what was paid during the year. We would like this credit amended to allow us to claim the entire allowed amount once again. People who actually work and play by the rules can't take all the do nothing credits, we need all the credits we can get.
