amend the Coinage Act of 1792 to change the inscription of "Liberty" to "Security" on U.S. coins.

Created by P.F. on June 11, 2013

In recognition of the tradeoff made by American citizens since the Coinage Act of 1792 was passed, we petition that section 10 of the Act be amended to replace the word "Liberty" with "Security" and that the language requiring that one side of the coin have an "impression emblematic of liberty" be considerably downplayed or removed entirely.

Making this change to our coinage will better reflect America's priorities of hope for a safe and secure future for our country and its people.
