According to the Constitution, a citizen has "the right to bear arms." However, at the time the constitution was written in 1776, most people used guns and fire-arms as ways of survival. While in present-day 2014, there are still plenty hunters and gathers, but gun-safety has gotten out of hand. After the numerous school-shootings across the country and murders, it is time for not just the national and state governments but also the special interest groups, NRA and others to work together to not only amend and enforce stricter gun-laws, such as the Brady Bill.
It is the responsibility of the NRA and other special interest groups to not only promote the right of gun ownership, but to also educate proper and improper fire-arm use. It is the responsibility of the government to enforce laws.
