Amend the constitution to eliminate the electoral college

The electoral college was created at a time when the popular vote could not be accurately counted. It is time for popular vote to elect our President. Even some of founding fathers preferred popular vote. James Wilson and James Madison have been historically noted for proposing this form of election. The only reason this form of electing our President was written in to the constitution was the lack of communication at the time it was written. If our founding fathers had the rapid communication we have today I am absolutely certain they would have selected the popular vote as the way the President is elected. I, and everyone signing this, ask the Congress to amend the constitution to eliminate the electoral college and allow popular vote be the means of electing our Presiden
