Amend the Constitution to Enact Congressional Term Limits via State Referendum.

Created by D.S. on November 13, 2012

Congress was never meant to be a career destination for politicians. We have congressmen who have served longer than the majority of their constituents have been alive. We need fresh ideas in Washington DC. That won't happen as long as we continue to elect the same old same old time and time again. We need a non-partisan movement to Amend the Constitution via state referendum to enact Congressional Term Limits. Here's the proposed Limits: 12 Years. (That's 6 terms in the House, and 2 Terms in the Senate) Former congressmen are banned from serving as lobbyists for a period of 2 years after they have reached a term limit. This has been done in Oklahoma and other states with positive results.
